Our Story

It was 2007, and I just started school at Humber, working along quietly and focusing on school. I was determined to get on honour roll, and keep a healthy and active lifestyle. At school, I quickly became friends with a girl, Anna. Us being the crazy talkative nerds that we are, Anna started talking about her friend..His name was Jason who was her life drawing model at school. Yes you heard that correctly, life drawing model, one who poses in the buff for the love of art. Anyway, Anna loved to bug me about him because she wanted me to meet him..sometimes when he was modelling. Me, being the shy girl that I am would not be able to handle seeing a naked gorgeous guy in the buff, so I was always relieved when I would be busy doing something else so I could have a valid reason to not see him. Sure I was a bit reluctant at first, because it would have been extremely awkward meeting him like that, so it never happened.
So to sum up everything: Anna's life drawing model is Jason. Jason is best friends with Marc, Anna's life drawing teacher. School was quickly ending, and Anna being the sneaky best friend that she is knew something that we all didn't. She was going to set me up with Jason. The more she got to know Jason, the more she decided we'd be perfect for each other. Quite literally. She would always tease me about him, and I slowly realized.."WOW! He's amazing..He's unlike any guy I've ever met." Here was someone who had the same life goals as I did, who had the same interests, hobbies, and zest for life that I did. Anna told Marc about her little plan, and they decided to match us up. We decided to meet downtown at the opening of the ROM in June. Unfortunately that didn't turn out as planned for there was an emergency with Jason's family so he postponed. I guess you can say it's been postponed EVER since.
Jason gave me his email address, and I emailed him. We started emailing back and forth for several months...which grew to MSN chatting, which then led to Facebook (where he actually joined for me even though he thought he would never jump on the bandwagon). Now it was around the New Year and we set up our very first date right after Jason came back from his family's home. Then the unthinkable happened. The day of the date, Jason got into a car accident. A drunk teenager hit Jason's car, and knocked him unconscious. He broke his leg, and had a minor concussion, but thank you Lord, that's all that happened. He was safe. God took care of him. I have never been so scared in my life...I couldn't possibly understand what his family were going through either. We kept in touch the entire time he was in the hospital, even managing to borrow the nurse's laptop when he could so we could talk :P
And it's been that way ever since. He officially asked me to be his girlfriend on Facebook on December 21, 2007 and we've been "together" ever since. Time will only tell when we will finally meet. God tested us to see how strong we both are, and I like to think we've passed with flying colours.
